Two Years

Happy 2nd Anniversary to my best friend, wonderful husband, amazing daddy, and fantastic man, Brian!

I feel like I am supposed to say "I can't believe it has been 2 years already!" but... let's be honest... a lot has happened in 2 years AND, although our wedding was WONDERFUL and I had a great time, wedding planning was not my cup of tea and I was glad when that giant project was complete.

But lets recap everything that has happened these past two years...

We had our beautiful wedding on 11.25.11 at the Quarry Golf Club

Puerto Rico was the destination for our honeymoon!

In January we bought our house!

We celebrated the wedding of our great friends Justin and Kristin in April

This was also the spring I had to use crutches for 4 weeks and a cane for 4 weeks because of my year long knee injury...

Brian turned 26 and had a surprise birthday party at the bowling alley (and I can't find pictures...)

I threw a baby shower for my friend Robyn and her little one Addison was born!

I worked my first summer at Southbreeze Day Camp.

WE CLOSED ON OUR HOUSE!

I turned 24 and we took the excuse to go on a vacation to Savannah, GA to visit our friends Ashley and Collier

Ali had her senior night! She was the 4th Block girl to go through the GCHS band :)

It was fall, so obv UCF football...

Not sure where these pictures are either... but I went to Atlanta for the NSTA Regional Conference and Brian was able to join us!

Our friends Joe and Josephine got married and we partied VERY hard! And solidified some new friendships :) That picture was before I broke that glass (the like 5th one I broke that night...)

We hosted our first thanksgiving! And forgot to take pictures of more than just the place setting...

We went to a UCF game the next day with some of our closest friends and Brian surprised me with a second wedding band by the Reflection Pond (turns out that was where he had intended on proposing but thought I wouldn't be surprised if he did that... probably true ;) )

And we went home to eat wedding cake and celebrate!

We hosted an Ugly Sweater Party!

Had our first Christmas in the new house

Rang in 2013!

And the enjoyed giving our family the best Valentine's day present/news ever!

Ran some races (very slowly now that I was both pregnant and still coming back from that pesky knee injury...)

I worked another summer at camp and Ali joined the staff as well!

We went to Minnesota to visit lots of family!

Brian and I BOTH received promotions over the summer - Brian to Service Delivery Manager and myself to Science Coach

I grew...

Turned 25!

My friends Jeanne and Robyn threw me a BEAUTIFUL baby shower. And my grandma borrowed my camera to take pictures and my camera was different than hers so no pictures were taken... but I hope to see some soon!

And on September 23 our little girl joined us for the best birthday party ever!

We celebrated Caidyn's first holiday

And now we are just a very happy family!

It has been an amazing and busy two years! Thanks for being a support, mentor, companion, friend, entertainer, confidant, and everything else you are to me! Love ya :)

Back to work :(((

So I started work yesterday...

We dropped Caidyn off together at the baby sitter's house.

It only took us 2 hours and 17 minutes from wake up to leave the house.

Today, 2 hours 12 minutes - we are getting better!

It was hard to leave her... but I missed my job. And apparently they missed me too (WOAH AM I BUSY!).

Plus she gave me this great smile in the morning while wearing her "Mommy Loves Me" pajamas... I sent her today in an outfit that also talks about how great Mommy is :)

I have some great friends at work who got me some princess cupcakes (and milk - they really are the best) to help me feel better being away from my princess. They were delicious and yes, the three of us at all 6 cupcakes, because you need both a vanilla and a chocolate obv.

And now, even though I've only worked 2 days, it is Friday tomorrow! And next week we work 2 days and then my most favorite holiday- THANKSGIVING!

Here is to a night of watching UCF football, one more day of the week, and then kicking off Brian and I's 2 year anniversary celebration!

Caidyn's Newborn Photos

When Caidyn was 7 days old we had our wedding photographer, Jim, from http://photographicimagesbyjim.com/ come to our home to capture some pictures of us with our new addition. It turned out amazing! Here are some of my favorites :)

Happy Halloween!!

We celebrated Halloween with our little girl!

Here in Southwest Florida we don't have any real pumpkin patches, but some places set up cute fake ones, and we took the excuse of now we have a child so we can do kid stuff like this, and explored the patch a bit. It was super cute! And of course our little pumpkin didn't disappoint!

That was on October 30 - and right after that little field trip Caidyn went to Nana's and Brian and I went out on our first post baby date! We went to Naples Flatbread, one of our favorite places. It was trivia night and we won a $10 giftcard!!

The next day was actual Halloween and, of course, more outfits :)

That was what she wore pretty much all day, one of the last days she would wear a newborn sized sleeper :(

For Halloween I had purchased when I was like 12 weeks pregnant a Tigger costume- well, ears on a headband and a tail. The headband was too big but luckily I had also seen this in target a week prior and thought it was adorable.

Our little Snow White :)

The whole family got dressed up! I was a sock hop girl, Brian was a Hogwarts professor, Cosmo was a skeleton, and Gizmo was a prisoner.

It was a great first holiday for Caidyn- up next, thanksgiving!!!!

Caidyn's One Month!!

So I am a little behind but hoping to catch up.

At her one month checkup Caidyn was 8lb 14oz and 21" long!! She had gained about 3 1/2 lbs and inches since she was born!

We have had a bit of trouble with her having very painful poops and bad diaper rash. We were having to rinse her instead of using wipes. About a week before her one month birthday we were able to stop using the nipple shield and nurse regularly. She is a champion!

Favorite moments: new longer alert periods of time. And one of my favorites- when she gets really hungry she will open her mouth and sort of move her head around in circles around the shield at the time. It was so funny Brian and I both started laughing, and when I laughed Caidyn moved a bunch, prompting her to get a little frustrated and do it again! It was a vicious cycle of laughter and a truly wonderful little family moment.

Her one month was right before her first holiday so we were looking forward to that - Halloween! She was still in her bassinet in our room and only sleeping about 3-3.5 hrs at a time at night.

It was an amazing a quick month. The day before her 1 month birthday, October 22, was actually the day the doctor predicted she would actually be born judging on her experience with first babies going over a few days. Instead, her cousin Beau was born almost exactly as early as Caidyn was! Although the two of them can't play together yet it will be fun that they are so close!

I can't believe a month passed so quickly. It is amazing all of the changes she went through just in that little month, but how far she has yet to go. We love her so much!!!!
