#Wyssmas 2015

We had an AMAZING Christmas celebration this year! New traditions, old traditions, and lots of fun!

We started off our Christmas celebrations with an adult scavenger hunt with our friends PJ and Anais. It was organized by a friend of theirs - and, as it turns out, WE WON!!!
This picture was from one of the picture challenges which was to get a picture of the whole group in front of a community tree. This tree was in the Mercato shopping center! One of our last stops!

We then had our annual Wyss Family Breakfast with Santa. Brian's dad makes us reservations at their club and they have such a great Santa! He brings jingle bells around with him and visits all of the children a few times. Caidyn was not super into it, but eventually warmed up enough to give him a hug! It was extra exciting knowing we will have 2 more babies with us next year - Nate and Bridget's son, Nathan, will be almost one and Ellie will be almost 6 months old! Eek!

The following weekend we went to the Naples Botanical Garden's Night Lights in the Garden event! We went for the first time last year and just had a blast. We went again this year and it did not disappoint! The highlight was Caidyn caroling with their carolers singing Jingle Bells and Santa Claus is Coming to Town - her two favorite Christmas songs!

The next morning we ran the Marco Island 5 Miler! Greg, Lori, and Teagan all ran it this year and Haley watched Caidyn! Both of our stomach's were bothering us so we didn't end up getting any good pictures...

Later that afternoon Caidyn's school had their Christmas party! The students got to meet Santa and surprised us with a little show - some carols they sang and danced to and then some ornaments and pictures they made for the parents! It was so sweet! But by then our stomachs were really uncomfortable.
We went home and as it turns out both Brian and I ended up with food poisoning. Mine was much worse than Brian's, who ended up with Mom that afternoon picking up her new 5th wheel she is staying in while her addition is being built. They brought home some gatorade and such for both of us and we took it easy that night and the entire next day. It was rough, but luckily Caidyn didn't get it!

Monday I rallyed hard because Caidyn and I had a big day planned! Our Christmas Crafting Party was happening! We ran all sorts of errands prepping for that, Christmas breakfast, and the Fiesta! Our friends Robyn with Addison and Matthew, Amy with Brooks, and cousin Sarah with Beau and Adrianna came and we had such a great time painting frames and playing!

On the evening of the 23rd we took our annual drive around Victoria Park in our PJ's with Hot Chocolate to see the lights! We left the doors open this year on my new van and Caidyn loved it so much! She is such a big girl in her forward facing car seat and regular hot chocolate cup!

On Christmas Eve we started a new tradition of decorating cookies and building a gingerbread house. It was a mess and so much fun! I can't wait to get better at decorating and baking together since this was such a fun activity!

Daddy was in charge of Christmas PJ's this year and had us open before Church so we could make sure we had them all set for when we got home from dinner.

Don't mind my started makeup hair not done self - Caidyn said it was time so we went with it!

We took some family pictures all dressed up for church in front of the tree and then went to service at Living Word church. We hadn't been before but are still searching for a church home and heard good things. Caidyn loved it and asked every day for a week if we could "go to church now?". Needless to say we will be back :)

Christmas Eve dinner was hosted by my Grandpa. He did a wonderful job and I know it was so hard for him on his own without Grandma this year. He is such a special man.

We got home from dinner late, put our little girl to bed, and got to work being Santa's elves! It was the most stress free experience we have had! Our wrapping was done, toys were put together already - it was PERFECT! We had a pretty small Christmas (for us). Santa brought Caidyn some doll playing accessories, and we got her a duplo train and some coloring books. Brian and I called each other's gifts the home reno. But we have a lot of family members so even on a small year our tree is very full :) In our house the presents from Santa are unwrapped, and the ones wrapped are from someone. We like that the Santa experience still happens, but we can also appreciated gifts from each other, too.

Our girl loved her toys and played all day with her new baby doll from her MN family. She had such a fun Christmas morning! The Block family came over for breakfast and fun and we just had a nice relaxing morning together!

We spent the afternoon and evening with the Wyss family at Tom and LuAnn's. Our potty training girl stripped down about 2 presents in and spent Christmas in her birthday suit! It was fun a definitely a "two year old" thing!
We were surely blessed by the family with many fun gifts. But the most fun was being pregnant over Christmas with our siblings! It will be so fun watching all the kids grow up together and spend holiday's together - and this was the first!

That is a wrap on all our Christmas festivities! We had an amazing Christmas season. The 26th was our big Fiesta and I can't wait to recap that!!!

12 Week Update!

I promise one of these days to do a regular update post with life happenings - mostly Christmas festivities right now. Its on my break to do list!

But for now, regularly schedule bumpdate posts!

How far along? 12 weeks - 1/3 of the way done if this baby comes near when Caidyn did! Eek!

Total weight gain/loss: I've been doing my best to gain weight! We will see!

Maternity clothes: Yes! Bottoms almost exclusively except with workout wear. Tops none yet since I don't fill them out yet.

Stretch Marks: Nothing to report which I'm thankful for after last week's scare! Still haven't gotten any lotion yet...

Sleep: Getting better! I'm tired but it is more manageable and I'm looking forward to break and sleeping in a little bit!

Best moment this week: Looking forward to all of the holiday fun with Caidyn! She is really enjoying it this year and I'm having fun keeping it all about her while there is still the time!

Movement: Flutters sometimes if I'm sitting right!

Food cravings: Nothing this week - just SO SO THIRSTY!!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing big to report, stomach aches less frequent but still happening.

Have you started to show yet: Yes! Anxious to see if this belly is going to sink back down around 12-13 weeks like it did with Caidyn or just keep growing!

Gender prediction: I have no clue... But I am SO SO SO anxious to find out!

Belly button: Wider, flatter... will probably never look normal again.

Wedding rings on or off: On fitting normal for this time of year.

Happy or moody most of the time: I'd like to think happy!!!

Weekly Wisdom: Just trying to live in the moment and enjoy this holiday season while planning for Fiesta de Dos and embracing the bump this time around!

11 week update and a doctor's visit!

11 weeks!!!!

We had a visit to the doctor in the middle of this week and it was SO welcome! We got to see our little baby moving all around, hear the heart beat, count fingers and toes, and get great reports from the ultrasound technician on all her findings. We also got, for the very first time for us, an ultrasound photo that actually looks like a baby! With Caidyn she was not very photogenic and we just couldn't get a good profile shot. This week we got some beautiful shots!

One thing we spent a long time talking to the doctor about is my candidacy for progesterone shots from 16-37 weeks of pregnancy. Since Caidyn came so early (at 36 weeks 5 days) I am technically considered having had preterm labor. Now it could be nothing and a fluke, or it could be a pattern. The risks of preterm labor much earlier than mine are high, but Caidyn was, luckily, just fine. However because of her size (5lbs 9oz), they agree that it was preterm labor and not a very miscalculated due date. There doesn't seem to be any negative side effects unless a shot or dose is missed. We told the doctor we were 100% confident in her decision so we will find out on January 6 at our next appointment.

How far along? 11 weeks!

Total weight gain/loss: Zero. I was exactly 142.0 on the doctor's scale..This is the same as with Caidyn, and just like with her I was given the homework of "gain weight".

Maternity clothes: Yes! I went and got my old stuff out of storage this week and washed it all. I was amazed and how little I actually had!

Stretch Marks: I noticed something... I'm hoping maybe it was just a mark from my pants... but getting lotion to prevent it starting now!

Sleep: I am still so tired. I've gone to bed at 8:30pm a few times out of pure exhaustion. That is literally 10 minutes after Caidyn goes down. I am so lucky Brian is so understanding and really picks up the slack when I just crash.

Best moment this week: Watching the little one! It was so fun to see all the movement and know everything is developing just fine! We love you already!!! Also, I got a new car! Making room for the bigger family we upgraded my Kia Sportage to a Kia Sedona! Yes, its a minivan. And yes, I love it!

Movement: After seeing all the movement happening during the ultrasound I was trying to be really conscious of trying to feel  baby move. If I sat with my legs up I could sort of feel some movement - and Brian could, too!!! It was fun, but we haven't been able to duplicate it. We did joke it was just a weirdly timed muscle spasm... which is seeming more likely now, haha!

Food cravings: QUESO!!! So weird, I know. But I love it so much!

Anything making you queasy or sick: On and off stomach aches. Mostly just dealing with exhaustion.

Have you started to show yet: Oh yes. I'm almost at the random people assuming pregnant not fat, but not quite, haha!

Gender prediction: With the heart rate of 161 Brian confirmed himself girl. But we were watching the baby move a lot - so the heart rate should have been elevated... so we will see!!!

Belly button: Stretching itself out! Getting wider and flatter each week.

Wedding rings on or off: On fitting normal for this time of year.

Happy or moody most of the time: Tired? Haha.

Weekly Wisdom: We are just so thankful everything is going well. We are so lucky and blessed and truly looking forward to this holiday season!

1/4 of the way done! 10 Week Update

10 weeks!

This was a long, long week! First week back to school after Thanksgiving and knowing we only had 15 more days on Monday made it go by quickly and slowly all at the same time. Dos and I ran our second race together (the first was the Rocktoberfest 10 Miler - the day after I found out!!). The Collier Schools 5k - we finished in 29:20... not an awful time but nothing to write home about. I'm trying to be thankful for being able to run comfortable without the support belt at this point in the pregnancy and hoping for that to continue!

How far along? 10 weeks!

Total weight gain/loss: Really not sure.. I feel like I've gained since clothes aren't fitting and boobs are SO GIANT AND HEAVY...

Maternity Clothes: YES! I was waiting to wear them until this week when I was able to announce at work and my new side panel black pants are SO comfortable! I actually purchased a pair of jeans in a side panel as well since I loved these so much!

Stretch Marks: No :)

Sleep: The usual... Sleeping fine as I am SO tired, but having to get up in the middle of the night to pee is still super annoying.

Best moment this week: I would say a tie for our run together that I felt great during (and was comfortably rocking sub 10 min/miles!) and when my principal announced it to school keeping me from having to have those awkward conversations. People are excited and supportive which is always so nice!

Have you told family and friends: YES! It is all public knowledge now! Which I'm glad about since this bump is out and saying hi to the world.

Movement: Nothing yet! I felt it around 14 weeks with Caidyn so hoping soon!

Food cravings: I <3 MOES and QUESO!!!!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Still battling bouts of "carsick" feelings. Haven't figured out any triggers so just winging it!

Have you started to show yet: Yes. SO QUICKLY THE SECOND TIME AROUND!!!!

Gender Prediction: I can't even begin to guess. Just when I start thinking something I know it could be either and I really couldn't make a call.

Belly button in or out: In but it is right at the biggest part of the bump so it is def stretched out a bit!

Wedding rings on or off: On and fitting normal.

Happy or Moody most of the time: Hmm... honestly? I might have to say moody. I'm exhausted. And my want for sleep just shortens my fuse. I also cried like real tears at the end of Elf. Yes, Elf - the comedy!?!? Just feeling all the emotions!

Weekly Wisdom: We can't wait for our second ultrasound and long doctor's appointment next week! I had a freak out earlier this week that we were 25% of the way there and we still have so much to do at the house. Dos' room is still just a storage unit, we don't have anything done in the great room, our room is a mess, nothing is really baby proofed besides like 3 cabinets with a lock on them for Caidyn... I know we will get it done and we still have 75% of the way to go. But its starting to get more real!!

Weeks 8 and 9 - Telling the Family!

8 Weeks!

We finished week 8 the day we got these pictures taken! Caidyn was NOT having it that morning but we still have a few fun ones! Our chalk reveal didn't really work out... it was mostly pictures of Caidyn pouting and Brian and I trying to convince her to play with chalk. Oh well! They are a great representation of life with a toddler.

9 weeks!

So this was SUCH A FUN WEEK!!!! We celebrated our fourth wedding anniversary and spent the week in Orlando with family. We went all out this year and purchased Disney annual passes for the two of us (the last year we can only purchase 2!) and spent the week basically park hopping and just bonding as a little family.

We also got to share the news with my family FINALLY!!!!! Truthfully, I'm glad we waited. My family had such a rough 2015 (parents divorcing, losing my grandmother) that if anything would have happened to this baby and pregnancy early on I wouldn't have shared with them since I wouldn't have wanted to add to the list of bad things for 2015. The good news is we are safely in the second trimester right now (I'm late to the update game!) and everything is going perfectly!

We told my parents, grandpa, sisters, and godmother at breakfast the morning of Thanksgiving. It was the first time since we had found out we were pregnant that everyone was together in one place. Caidyn picked out a thanksgiving card for each of them and we wrote on the inside "Dear _______, I'm so thankful for (insert something special we do together)! I know my little brother or sister due in June will love it just as much! Happy Thanksgiving! Love, Caidyn. We included a printout of the picture of us holding the ultrasound. Everyone was so excited!

The sweetest part was my grandpa. Later that afternoon he told me that he truthfully wasn't able to read the card at breakfast since he didn't have his reading glasses. He said thank you and gave us a big hug at the time so I thought he got it. But he was SO excited when we were talking to him about it later! It was so sweet. Grandpa always makes Caidyn laugh when they are together. My grandma LOVED babies, so in a weird way it was fun to see Grandpa's reaction without it being overshadowed by how much my grandma loved babies. It is obvious now that they have that in common!

It was a great week and we really enjoyed all of the family time together away from it all. The holiday wasn't emotional without Grandma like we feared it would be. Although we are fast approaching Christmas which I know will be rough. My grandparents anniversary is December 23 and they always host Christmas Eve dinner. Last year, shortly after Grandma's diagnosis, was the first time in years they didn't host and asked my parents to instead. I actually fought Brian to let us go to that dinner (it was our year to spend Christmas eve dinner with his family) just in case it was our last time with Grandma. I'm so glad I did - and he says that he is glad too.

But back to weeks 8 and 9 - still feeling exhausted. Still "carsick" most of the time. Eating when I can. Embracing my new found LOVE for Moe's and QUESO!!!!!!!! Starting to plan the gender reveal fiesta!!!!

Dos' first Doctor's Appointment!

On Wednesday, November 11 we had our first ultrasound and doctor appointment to really confirm a healthy baby Dos was on the way!

The appointment was very routine - the same office staff and ultrasound technician as we had with Caidyn - which was great seeing familiar faces! Before we went back Brian and I were trying to remember Caidyn's first appointment heart rate. We both remembered 142 BPM, so it was fun to see Dos coming it at 143! Brian has a video of the ultrasound that we can share with Caidyn and our families when we share the news with them. They didn't have Caidyn's 6 week ultrasound heart rate record handy, but she was 176 at her 12 week ultrasound! We go back at 11 weeks 3 days, and I'm anxious to find out more then!

Our wonderful doctor's office has undergone a lot of changes, which I think will be wonderful! The two biggest are a new online portal and computer system, which will be great for viewing results of blood work and such. The other is the addition of a nurse practitioner to the team. We were fortunate with Caidyn to never have to meet with another doctor for any appointment and have our same doctor deliver Caidyn, but that might not happen again, so it is great to get to know more people in the office. Additionally, one thing we love about our doctor, is how much time she takes with each patient - never making us feel rushed or like we were asking annoying questions. But, with that time comes running late for appointments. This time our appointments were right on time!

Another thing different this time around is a new blood test that can be done on me that checks for genetic abnormalities in baby, and also the gender with 99% certainty! This will be done at our 11 week appointment and results come in within 2 weeks! So the Fiesta de Dos we are planning for December 26 still works out! We are so excited for the party and hope it will be a lot of fun! I'll post again about the details we are planning, but I will say I have had this idea since about February of last year - and even bought some discounted Cinco de Mayo decorations in May!

As far as a 7 week update:

How far along? 7 weeks!
Total weight gain/loss: At the doctor I was 141.6 - so down about .4...
Maternity clothes? Wearing all of my flowy outfits while we are still keeping this baby a secret!
Stretch marks? Nope!
Sleep: So I started sleeping a little more upright with a firm high pillow this week, laying a flat pillow next to me to support my head leaning to the side. I have not slept better in SUCH a long time! It felt great!
Best moment this week: Hearing the heart beat and knowing everything is a-ok with this baby right now!
Have you told family and friends: Over the weekend we went and met Jeanne's new baby Scarlett. I shared the news with her, and she knew we were trying, and was so excited, too!
Movement: Nothing yet (still too early)
Food cravings: Raspberry Brie. I was seriously sitting at a stoplight while driving with Brian and Caidyn and randomly made the "mmmm" sound. Brian asked, "What?" and I just responded that I was thinking about raspberry brie. Doesn't it sound good?!?!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Life? Haha. 88% of the time my stomach is pretty unhappy. I classify it as "fragile" since I don't get sick, but feel very close to it!
Have you started to show yet: Still calling it bloating...

Gender prediction: Brian thinks it is a girl. 100%. I have no clue. But I love the girl name we have picked out, and I suggested a boy middle name to accompany our picked out first name that I love, and loving both name combos makes me excited either way!
Belly Button in or out? In.
Wedding rings on or off? On and fitting normal.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Still a solid mix of both. And emotional. I get the teary eyes over the weirdest things - but then didn't tear up at all at our ultrasound! I think I was so relieved everything was ok!
Weekly Wisdom: Reminding myself that everything will be ok and that this, too, shall pass. It is hard because I am getting into the headache often and worst of the queasyness symptoms, and I can see that second trimester (aka - feeling human) as still four weeks away. But trying to enjoy the symptoms as signs everything is ok and knowing this is probably our last baby and my last pregnancy I'm trying to not to wish the time away.

Week 5!

How far along? 5 weeks

How big is baby? The size of a poppy seed

Total weight gain/loss:  Not sure... I'm not eating a lot as it always upsets my stomach, but I've also been really bad about working out.

Maternity clothes? I haven't worn any yet, but that bump is starting to form early!

Sleep: Crazy dreams, restless sleeping, peeing in the middle of the night... Ugh. I'm exhausted.

Best moment this week: Tell Tom and LuAnn!

Movement: None yet!

Food cravings:  Healthy food. I think I snack so much on unhealthy things since my meals are small to keep my stomach from getting upset, but then I get so hungry I snack on whatever I can find, and then crave healthy food to "make up for it"

Food Aversions: plain oatmeal. Gross.

Gender: Not sure even one little bit!

Labor Signs:  None yet (thank goodness!)

Pregnancy Symptoms:  Fatigue, nausea, sore boobs, vivid dreams, having to pee more often than usual. All the regular ones.

Belly Button in or out? In. Still a little bigger than it was before Caidyn! So hoping it doesn't stretch out too much more this time!

What I miss:  Staying awake easily around 2:30pm? Haha. I will miss drinking wine while trick or treating with Caidyn around the neighborhood! But I will be able to next year - with the stroller which makes it even easier!

What I am looking forward to: Our doctor's appointment to confirm on November 11. It will feel so much more real!

Upcoming appointments/events:  Appointment on November 11 (I chose the date since we don't have school). Halloween!!! Caidyn's last as an only child! And the last time we have to think of a three person costume choice. Let's start thinking of some 4 person ones!

Milestones: Just excited about being pregnant! We are having so much fun making plans for this little baby.

Last night Brian and I researched a new high chair and double jogging stroller. I told him for baby 2 I needed two of the following three things: a new high chair, a new and nice double jogging stroller, and a new car. So I'm getting the high chair and jogger! We were gifted a high chair off of our registry for Caidyn. And though it served us well it was difficult to clean as the seat cover was not wipeable, it strapped to one of our seats, so sometimes we were short a chair, and the straps became very dirty very quickly, and could never be made to look nice again. We donated it and Caidyn uses a booster and we have since started the research process into looking for a highchair that will solve all those needs. Additionally, I really want a top of the line double jogging stroller. My grandmother purchased Caidyn's jogging stroller for us - and it has served us very well. The Baby Trend Expedition has been wonderful to us, but is only a single. We have noticed some slight pulling to one side and aerodynamics issues. Additionally, if we are going to be pushing two kids we want it to be as easy as possible! We are debating between the BOB double and the Thule double. BOB has been the undisputed king of the jogging stroller world, according to all our research, until just recently when Thule has really challenged. The Thule is slightly more expensive, but seemingly always edges out the reviews and the car seat adapter fits our current (and beloved) BabyTrend carseat. The BOB, however, is tried and true, and cheaper. But would need us to purchase a different car seat. Our BabyTrend carseat is floral and pink, so if this baby is a boy, we would be getting a new one anyways. But if this baby is a girl, we could keep the same carseat. Obviously we are still debating these things, and quite frankly I think we want to really do it right this time and go see the joggers and test "run" them. See how Caidyn fits, and how she can grow into it, see how the handlebar height feels, how much we can bring, if there is a parent console we like and fits our giant phones.

At this point we are just enjoying the process and love knowing we have an actual little one on the way!

Week 6

How far along? 6 weeks!
Total weight gain/loss: Not sure. 142 is my "starting" point for this pregnancy and I have no clue.
Maternity clothes? I bought a few things this week online (Gap and Old Navy sales for the win!). Some of my favorite work pants are already starting to be tight and this bump is coming on quick. I'm hoping to embrace it sooner and flaunt it more this pregnancy - but obviously I want to wait until the news is public.
Stretch marks? None... wayyyyyy to early for even worrying about that.
Sleep: Last night I slept through the night without having to get up to pee. For the first time this pregnancy. But other than that sleep has been AWFUL. Waking up at least once (usually twice), restless. My back is hurting, not sure if it is that we are sleeping on an old mattress (my Mom's as her bed is still in our room for now) or just the baby making him or herself comfortable in there... We'll see!
Best moment this week: Caidyn kisses the baby a lot now and it is so cute. I love it so much.
Have you told family and friends: A few friends, Brian's parents, Brian's sister Traci, and my sister Anita. We are telling Nathan and Bridget (and then maybe Brian's MN siblings) next weekend and then my family on Thanksgiving day!
Movement: Nothing yet (still too early)
Food cravings: I had a craving for fettucini alfredo this weekend. And raspberry brie cheese... and also more candy corn.
Anything making you queasy or sick: The philly cheese steak sandwhich from Bokampers... that was a rough evening.
Have you started to show yet: A little bit. I am trying to blame it on bloating... but it is there first thing in the morning now..

Gender prediction: I have no clue. We are hopeful for a little girl since we have all this girl stuff, and Caidyn would love someone to play dress up with. But at the same time a boy would be such a fun change of pace.
Belly Button in or out? In.
Wedding rings on or off? On and fitting normal.
Happy or Moody most of the time: A mix of both. I'm exhausted and not feeling well in the evenings. When Caidyn is also most hyper and hungry. It is hard not to just give in and give her snacks and let her watch a TV show. Plus we are potty training... oh goodness.
Weekly Wisdom: We got to help Nathan and Bridget last night as they prepare for their registry for Baby Nathan. It is fun to remind ourselves of all we learned in our parenting journey so far. It makes me feel much more prepared for this little one!
Our doctors appointment is FINALLY one week away. I know I requested it be 11/11 since I have off of work and timing was flexible, but I had no idea how long it would take to get here. We are excited to see this little one and the reassurance that everything is alright with him or her. I've been experiencing... not cramping per say, but an "awareness" in my lower abdomen that I don't remember feeling with Caidyn. Like similar to a full bladder. It doesn't hurt, but just "feels"... And the lower back discomfort. It reminds me a lot of the few days before I went into labor with Caidyn, which is I think what makes me most nervous for this pregnancy. But my family is due for some happiness and I'm sure this baby is it :)

Baby 2 On the Way!

Saturday, October 17, 2015. First family of 4 selfie!!!

So lets back up. Brian and I originally set out to have one child. We figured sometime in 2013. Well by February 3 I had a positive pregnancy test. And then Caidyn came, and we were in love. Surprisingly to me, but not to anyone who has been a parent, I LOVED being a mom. I have so much fun with Caidyn and life is so rewarding. And Brian planted the seed of another baby. A sibling for our girl who loves to nurture and play with others. If you asked Caidyn if she wanted a sibling, she said yes. Every time. Shortly after Caidyn turned one we started talking about timing. I was getting my master's degree and set to finish in July of 2015. We didn't want to take the risk of me having a rough first trimester and falling behind in school (I graduated with a 4.0!!) so we said the first time we would try would be July. Knowing how quickly it happened the first time we thought it would happen pretty quickly again.

Well my period came in July, August, and September. Which still, I understand, is relatively quick that we already have a positive test. But it was frustrating never-the-less. I worked so hard to get my master's degree quickly so I could become an administrator in the school year starting in August 2016. My first year in a new role as science coach I took maternity leave and it made learning my new job really difficult. I don't want to take maternity leave during my first year of a job again. Luckily (again, major catch up) I changed schools this year. I am working at a school I LOVE, and I would not mind staying here another year being a science coach. We were also dealing with the stress of selling our house and purchasing my parents home and beginning the renovation there. Needless to say, we had a lot on our plates.

But everything worked itself out. And the stress I was dealing with seemed to all go away. I loved my job, our house sold, and the renovation plans were working out perfectly.

On October 14, in anticipation of my period, I took a pregnancy test. And it was negative. Oddly enough, Brian didn't give up hope, and when Caidyn saw me crying out of frustration she gave me a hug and said "baby sister coming". I just continued our day normal and tried to forget about it.

Thursday evening I had an awful stomach ache. Friday it happened again. And then Friday night into Saturday morning I had to get up to pee in the middle of the night. Something that hasn't happened since I was last pregnant (or had my fair share of drinks the night before #honesty). So when I had to pee again early Saturday morning I said "what the hell" and prepared myself for a negative test (and $5 down the drain). Except this test didn't say "not pregnant" it said "pregnant". I cried out of excitement in the bathroom and decided I would let Caidyn, my confident girl who knew "baby sister coming" tell her daddy.

This was around 7am... and of course, the first weekend day we could sleep in since at least the beginning of September. I tried to go back to sleep, of course couldn't, but luckily Brian was awake. We watched an episode of Suits together, and finally, around 8:30, I decided it was time to go wake Caidyn up. I grabbed the test and walked into her room. She was playing on her bed (she loves her new room SO much!) and I said to her, "Caidyn, you are going to be a big sister!" and she just gave me the biggest most genuine hug! I handed her the test and asked her to bring it to Daddy and tell him "Baby coming!". She ran it right over to Brian, with me closely behind, handed it to him, and then just continued to hug me. Brian jumped right out of bed, asking "really?!? really?!?!" and as I repeated yes he was so excited! We family hugged, cuddled, and just enjoyed the reality that we were going to be a family of four!

Baby Wyss #2 will be due sometime in June! We visit the doctor on November 11, a random day off of work I have, to find out more information!
